Evidence before treatment
Timing is evidence. Rain-only points us outdoors. We still confirm — a bathroom on the top floor can coincide with rain because everyone showers when they get home. Thermal after a wet spell is useful; a dry-day scan can miss a rain path.
Hyderabad’s short, hard showers expose ponding that drizzle hides. May inspections catch it before July books out. West-facing Nizampet and Kompally walls, and Kukatpally terraces, are the usual monsoon calls.

Local case
Terrace seepage in Kompally — PU membrane after thermal mapping
Problem. Top-floor bedroom ceiling stained after every monsoon. Previous contractor had coated the stain from below.
Evidence. Cold path along the parapet-slab joint. The bedroom stain sat two metres away from the entry point.
Confirmed. Failed parapet joint and worn terrace screed. The ceiling stain was the exit, not the source.
Treatment. Joint detailing, PU elastomeric membrane on the walkable terrace, outlets cleared.
Testing. 24-hour pond test before handover.
