How Gracia diagnoses
We inspect both faces of the slab when we can. Injection is for live through-cracks; a membrane is for the field. Thermal helps when the weep is offset. A coat on the dry soffit is not a slab repair we will warrant.
HITEC City commercial roofs and older Chinthal houses both show untreated joints under a later coat. The Gachibowli basement and HITEC polyurea cases are this class of problem: joints first, then the system.
Multiple evidence points support the cause.
Evidence indicates the cause; further verification may still be required.
One or more clues exist, but the evidence is not enough for a firm conclusion.
Inspected, and no supporting evidence found in the inspected area.

Local case

Problem. Repeated monsoon leaks into a commercial top floor despite two previous coatings.
Evidence. Failures clustered at HVAC kerbs and expansion joints, not the field of the old coat.
Confirmed. Untreated penetrations and joints under a coating that had been applied over them.
Treatment. Joint and kerb detailing, then specified polyurea system.
Testing. Pond test on bays that hold water; leak watch on the floor below.

If water is coming through a crack or joint, not just staining the ceiling after ponding, it is a slab path. We check the topside membrane and the joint. Injection and coating are different line items on the quote.
